Directed by Spielberg and produced by Sir Peter and his digital effects company Weta Digital in New Zealand. The movie the first of a trilogy introduces new fans to Captain Haddock, Snowy and boy reporter Tin Tin. It is a fantastic few hours of escapism.
At a press conference Spielberg said young film makers had no excuse not to make their own films. Everyone has a video camera in their phones these days. I heard George Miller say that several years ago at a Tropfest festival to a young hopeful asking for guidance.
